Importing Personal Effects
Croatia is still outside the EU and therefore goods are subject to Croatian Customs Regulations. Individuals and returning Croatian citizens wishing to import household goods need to be present for the customs clearance process. Used household goods may be imported duty free provided you have owned them for at least 6 months prior to arrival, and that the owner has resided abroad for at least 12 months prior to importation date.
Documentation
Documentation required should be a copy of your passport, and detailed inventory list in English, and a completed Croatian customs declaration form. You will also need to provide a copy of your residence permit (for minimum of 6 months) and a work permit and/or agreement.
