BRINGING PETS INTO
CROATIA

Pets are welcomed into Croatia as long as you have the following:
Proof of rabies vaccination within 15 days prior to date of arrival
International Certificate of Health from an accredited veterinarian (in the US known as USDA Form 7001)
Micro-chipping details
Fitness To Fly certificate if arriving by air (required by most airlines)
The EU Pet Passport (for pets arriving from EU countries) is available for download at http://www.europa.eu.net. (In order for the EU Pet Passport to be issued, the pet must be micro-chipped and vaccinated against rabies.) It will generally satisfy the entry requirements for importing a pet into Croatia.
There are a number of accredited veterinarians in most major Croatian cities. Veterinary care is limited on the islands and in smaller, rural communities.
