Living the GOOD LIFE for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!

                  PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
                                  IN FRANCE

The French rail system is a splendid way to travel from one end of the country to another.  It is fast, efficient, and reasonable in cost, and did we mention – on time?

The SNCF (you can download an app for your iPhone!) (http://www.sncf.com/) is France's premier rail system.  They performed the first railway carbon footprint study and are ahead of the curve when it comes to our ecosystem and preserving it.

One of the benefits of living in a culture that appreciates public transportation, railways in France are geared to the schedules of their users.  Fly into Paris, and the railway station is there, in the terminal, waiting to take you to your destination, whether it is in Provence, the Languedoc or Normandy.  Your destination is just a train ticket, and comfortable ride, away.

Once you are within a city, busses are plentiful and clean.  Taxis are available as well for a reasonable fee.  And if you are in Paris, there is the famed Paris Metro, a subway system that covers the major parts of the City of Lights.

If planning a trip to a major urban area, consider parking your car outside of town and using the public system once in the city.
