EDUCATION
 IN PANAMA!

PANAMA EDUCATION KIDS TEACHER

Attending school in Panama is compulsory for the first six years of school.  Panamanian public schools are taught in Spanish.  For those who are not fluent in Spanish, a number of private schools are available.

The Panamanian school year runs from March through December.  Uniforms are required in both the public and private schools.

There are four prominent universities in Panama, some with campuses in outlying areas.  While these are taught in Spanish, there are some bi-lingual class selections.

An ongoing project called the City of Knowledge offers several educational programs in the old installations of former U.S. military bases, including a Spanish language class.  For those of German descent, a school at Justo Arosemena offers Spanish classes.

Florida State University also has a branch in Panama City and offers an International Affairs program among its many majors.
