Living the GOOD LIFE for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!

1. BEACH COMMUNITIES
2. BOQUETE
3. PANAMA CITY
Loud rock music has its purposes. Consider the case of Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega. Having requested asylum at the Vatican Embassy in Panama City after a bloody uprising involving the U.S. Military, the U.S. turned up the loudspeakers and blasted loud rock music at the Vatican Embassy day and night. This ear assault was one of the reasons the Embassy relented and turned Noriega over to the U.S. Government where he was tried, convicted and imprisoned. Welcome to Panama!
While Noriega was having his problems, the country of Panama was working hard to overcome his dictatorial regime. In just a few years the dictatorship was a painful historical memory and a new age had taken form, resulting in a country with a sophisticated business infrastructure, a well developed expansion plan and an intense desire to accommodate the needs of foreigners who wished to immigrate to their paradise.
Today, Panama is thriving. The historic Panama Canal is now in their possession. Plans for expanding the Canal are underway and the resulting influx of money and labor will provide an even more solid base for their economy. A campaign to lure expats from Britain, Canada and the United States and to resettle them in Panama has resulted in a population of over 25,000 settlers now taking advantage of their host country’s incentives. And those incentives will turn almost anyone’s head and have them packing their bags and booking passage to this bustling Central American nation!
If you are looking to retire, then Panama must be on your short list of locations to consider. The weather is temperate and idyllic, depending on where within the country you choose to relocate. The international airport will take you anywhere in the world you need to go – at a discount for retired persons. Their currency is the U.S. dollar. Medical treatment is top flight – including a branch of the famed Johns Hopkins Hospital located in the middle of Panama City. The prices of medical care will have you shaking your head in surprise. Becoming a “pensionado” in Panama only requires that you prove that an income of $1,000 monthly is available to you. Interested?
While you are encouraged to learn Spanish, not only as a simple courtesy to your host country, but to better enhance your own experience, English is widely spoken throughout Panama.
Retirees aren’t the only age group discovering Panama. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean/Caribbean Sea to the North and the Pacific Ocean along the Southern edge of the country, Panama is a water-lover’s paradise. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, and the tranquil life that a beach environment offers is already attracting a younger set of expats. Throw in housing that can be rented at less than $300 per month, and the line forms at the airport’s incoming visitors’ line!
Property developments offering a full range of amenities are springing up both North and South and in the interior as well. Boquete is heavily inhabited by expats, where the mountain air and environment welcome both golfers and nature lovers. Planned developments are popping out of the ground at a rate that indicates an economy that knows where it’s going.
The cultural life available in Panama City is diverse and rivals almost any national capital. Theatres, museums, ballet, the symphony, world-class business organizations and banking concerns, national festivals and a true enjoyment of life envelope the native Panamanians and those who have chosen to move to Panama.
We encourage you to look at Panama and the world of opportunity available for your Change of Lifestyle
