Whether you choose to ship ALL of your possessions, SOME or NONE is up to you and your attachment to what you own.  If you choose to ship, our best advice is to retain a shipping company familiar with the country of Panama and its laws.

As a pensionado in Panama, you will not be charged duty on your household goods.  Also, bring your electrical appliances as the current is 120v.

Our suggestion?  Go to Panama.  Find a place to live. Stay there at least one year.  THEN decide if you can or cannot live without your familiar items.  That’s the smart way to do this.  But if you are sentimental, pack up the photo albums, your favorite paintings and a few nick-nacks that bring back memories, and ship them.  Once you get to Panama, have fun shopping for the new things that will enhance your Change of Lifestyle!
