Living the GOOD LIFE for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!

WELCOME TO THAILAND!

It has been decades since the English schoolteacher Anna was swept away by The Royal Kingdom of Siam and its spirited King.  Dancing their way into our hearts and memories, these characters of fiction left an indelible portrait of the Kingdom and its golden beauty in our minds.  Today, British, American and other expats from around the world are discovering that life in The Kingdom of Thailand is as enchanting today as it was in film and the novel from which it was imagined.

The city of Bangkok has grown into a very sophisticated urban enclave that caters to international business as well as the local economy.  Life in this bustling metropolis is like living in other large cities, yet it has its local flavor to entice those looking for A Change of Lifestyle.  The major draw:  it’s lower cost of living.

Outside of Bangkok, expats have discovered the tranquility of Chiang Mai, in the far northern reaches of Thailand and surrounded by the glorious beauty of its hill country.  Phuket in the south is a lively beach environment catering to tourists, expats and those who cherish crystal-clear waters and waves lapping at the shore.

Thailand is an economical country in which to live. The housing is abundant and affordable. Food is plentiful and reasonable.  Transportation is so efficient that owning a car is not necessary, even in the outlying areas.  And the infrastructure is on par with any major western city.  That said, what is the heartstring-tug that draws people to Thailand?

Beauty.  Thailand is probably one of the most beautiful countries in Asia.  Velvet green mountains stretch to the sky in the northernmost reaches of the country.  Miles of beaches rim the western coast, stretching from Myanmar to Malaysia.  Elephants earn their keep by working the forests, and gold-trimmed temples are within eyesight at every turn.

Thailand is a country given to peace and harmony, as evidenced by its saffron-robed Buddhist monks who traverse major cities and rural footpaths.  Black-jacketed motorcycle enthusiasts gather outside noisy nightclubs while genteel business people and vacationers sit on verandahs clinking their glasses to the hum of the gentle wind.

If  A Change of Lifestyle and an Asian influence suit your tastes , Thailand is not to be overlooked.
