The U.S. Social Security Administration does have a direct deposit agreement with the Bangkok Bank.  However, recent questions regarding whether the recipients are still alive have been raised, and Bangkok Bank is being forced to institute a system wherein the SS recipient must go to the bank and personally sign any withdrawals.  This is to insure the U.S. government that the person receiving the funds is still eligible.

Until this situation is more fully clarified, it is suggested that any social security deposits be made to your U.S. bank account and withdrawn using an ATM card.  This ensures the safety of your deposit and availability of your funds.
